I’m Tais Oliveira, the heart behind Olive Weddings, a Winnipeg wedding planning, coordination and décor rental company created with a love for meaningful celebrations and beautifully considered details.

​

This business bloomed out of years of dreaming, planning, and a deep love for creating memorable celebrations. The name Olive comes from my own last name, Oliveira, the Portuguese word for olive tree - a symbol of peace, strength and lasting roots. It felt like the perfect way to honour my heritage while reflecting the kind of experience I want to create for every couple: grounded, intentional and full of love.

Before launching Olive Weddings, I spent years working as a venue event manager and coordinator, planning and executing weddings and events of all sizes and styles. That experience gave me a true behind-the-scenes understanding of what it takes to make a wedding day run smoothly, from managing vendors and timelines to handling logistics, last-minute changes and all the little details couples shouldn’t have to worry about.

Today, I bring that experience to couples throughout Winnipeg and Manitoba through full-service wedding planning, month-of coordination, wedding-day setup and styling, and curated décor rentals. Whether I’m involved from the beginning or stepping in during the final weeks, my goal is always the same: to create a calm, organized and thoughtful experience so you can actually enjoy your wedding day.

I’m also a certified wedding planner through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC), so you can feel confident knowing your celebration is in experienced, professional hands. I believe great wedding planning is about more than creating something beautiful, it’s about anticipating what needs to happen, communicating with your vendor team, protecting the timeline and quietly solving problems behind the scenes.

With an eye for design, Olive Weddings has also grown to include a thoughtfully curated collection of wedding and event décor rentals in Winnipeg. From romantic tabletop details and candles to statement pieces and styling elements, the collection makes it easier to create a cohesive, elevated celebration without having to purchase every detail yourself.
